Advisory to the In-house Legal Team of Corporate Houses

Most in-house legal teams do not need an outside firm to run everything. They need one that can step in on the matters that fall outside their daily bandwidth or call for a specialisation the team does not carry internally. That is the role we play for domestic and multinational companies operating in Nepal. We work alongside the in-house function rather than around it, picking up where internal capacity ends.

What We Handle

  • Legal opinions: a formal, defensible position on a legal question before a transaction, regulatory decision or internal policy is finalised.
  • Drafting and review of agreements: new contracts being negotiated, or existing ones that need a second set of eyes before signing.
  • Corporate law compliance: support in keeping the company’s statutory obligations on track without duplicating what the in-house team already manages.
  • Representation before judicial and quasi-judicial bodies: direct representation when a matter moves to litigation or a regulatory proceeding, with the in-house team kept informed throughout.

How We Work

We offer two engagement models depending on what suits the company.

Project basis. For a specific matter, such as a contract, an opinion or a single case, we agree a fee for that project alone with no ongoing commitment.

Monthly retainer. For companies that want consistent support, a monthly retainer covers the company’s overall legal needs. This suits in-house teams that want a firm they can call regularly without renegotiating scope and fees every time something comes up.

Which model makes sense usually depends on how often outside input is needed. Occasional, matter-specific work favours a project arrangement, while a steady and unpredictable flow of legal questions is better served by a retainer.
